After having seen a very helpful counsellor myself in my teens and early twenties, I decided to forgo further studies in Journalism and instead study part-time to become a counsellor. I am a firm believer in 'paying it forward' and so wish to create a safe place where you can receive empathy, understanding, support and practical steps to help you on your mental health journey.
I now specialise in providing sessions online and video and/or phone therapy. My aim is to support and empower you to make positive changes and enable more freedom in your life.
I completed my Bachelor of Counselling at the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) in Sydney, Australia. I have a particular interest and experience in mental health; crisis and trauma therapy; Narrative Therapy; working with grief; and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I completed my fieldwork placement of 250 hours over 8 months at a homeless shelter in Bondi, in Sydney, Australia. The shelter uses a holistic approach in providing assistance to those who use the shelter. I found this experience invaluable in helping me further develop a person-centred and integrated approach to therapy, allowing me to tailor sessions to suit you.
